    Clark Builders is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Jr. Project Accountant to work alongside the Calgary Accounting Team. The Jr. Project Accountant reports to the Project Accounting Supervisor. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for but not limited to: 



    • Providing exceptional service to Clark Builders internal and external customers
    • Setting up and maintaining projects in our accounting system (eCMS)
    • Inputting project budget and change order information
    • Preparing client progress billings, including reviewing transactions for accuracy and compiling supporting documentation (WCB, Statutory Declarations, etc.)
    • Applying customer payments to invoices
    • Maintaining contract and owner change order files
    • Reconciling billing and job cost accounts
    • Adherence to Clark Builders Policies and Procedures
    • Timely and accurate management of responsibilities
    • Working in a faced paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Assisting with entry of subcontractor contracts, change orders or progress billings
    • Processing vendor payments

    • Ability to solve problems and provide recommendations

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum 2 year accounting diploma or equivalent construction accounting experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel primarily)
    • Knowledge of Alberta Builders’ Lien Act or the principles of LEAN continuous improvement considered an asset
    • Experience with coaching teams in collaborative planning
